The founders of Casa Niños School of Montessori, Inc. had a dream - a dream to create and establish the best authentic Montessori program in Tucson, perhaps even in the Southwest. The dream started to take shape in 1991. With dedication, determination, hard work, adapting to a dynamic environment, and meeting the needs of our families, the dream took flight and became a reality. Today, Casa Niños School of Montessori, Inc. is a successful incorporated program and proof that dreams do come true.

How do you define success? The children -- happy, educated, independent, responsible individuals -- evidence success. Our program and policies are in place for the benefit of the children, and will not be compromised. The evolution of our dream and our program is not complete; it is ongoing. Casa Niños School of Montessori, Inc. has expanded the East location, remodeled the North location, and continues to meet the needs of our families. The future of Casa Niños School of Montessori, Inc. has infinite possibilities as we include the dreams of our administration, staff and families.

The basis of our program is founded on several key components:

• An authentic Montessori program. As American Montessori Society members, Casa Niños School of Montessori, Inc. expects administration and staff to uphold and abide by AMS principles. Casa Niños School of Montessori, Inc. is aware of American Montessori Society guidelines with regard to staffing, salaries, policies and parent communication. The American Montessori Society is one of several organizations dedicated to the education of teachers and the public about the Montessori philosophy.
• A qualified staff to support and direct the authentic Montessori program in place at Casa Niños School of Montessori, Inc. The authentic multi-age, multi-level Montessori program is an educational approach that frees the child's potential for self-development. It guides each child according to individual capacity and needs, fostering self-development at a natural rate. Thus, through the Montessori system of education, the child is assured a foundation upon which to build future success. The classrooms are un-graded with educated teachers and support staff to "direct" or "guide" the child without imposing their own beliefs or personality on the child.

We purchase handcrafted Montessori materials specifically designed by Maria Montessori. Each school is impeccably clean, providing comfortable, inviting surroundings.
